Disposable Caging

Disposable caging has been developed to provide a safe, humane method to transport and house animals outside the traditional animal facility. Helps reduce stress and minimize variability in research protocols. Disposable caging can be purchased as separate components or as complete, ready-to-go kits.

Disposable Cage Kits
Each kit includes an 11.5" x 7.5" x 5" Polystyrene Cage, Snap-on Filter Top, 8 oz Hydrogel, and 6"x10" Alpha Pad bedding. Packaged 12 kits per case.

Disposable Cage Bottoms
11.5" x 7.5" x 5" Polystyrene Cage Bottoms. Standard mouse shoebox size. Can be disinfected but will not withstand repeated high temperature cage washing. Packaged 60 cages per case.

Snap-on Filter Tops
Easy, snap-on design fits standard 11.5" x 7.5" x 5" polystyrene cages. Plastic top and paper air filter is protected by wire mesh to prevent chewing and possible escape. Packaged 10 filter tops per case.

HydroGel™
An innovative hydration system by Clear H₂O, which eliminates the need for water bottles and other watering systems. 98% pure water in a non-wetting gel form. Excellent for animal transport, as an emergency water supply or for providing water to weak, compromised or weaning animals. Each pouch is individually coded with manufacturing lot number and expiration date. Shelf life is 18 months without refrigeration or special handling.

ALPHA Pad
6" x 10" sheets made of 100% bleached staple cotton fibers. Precut to fit standard mouse shoebox cages. Long cotton fibers are virtually dust-free and are highly absorbent. A shredded Alpha Pad will absorb nearly 20 times its own weight. Autoclavable. Packaged 400 per case.
